You never regret a swim.

We're a social ocean swimming club. Emphasis on the social. This club started simply as a way to bring people together and share in the joy that the great ocean brings. A year on, it's a community filled with some of the friendliest people you'll meet, from all over the world. Every swim is followed by a cup of coffee in the sunshine.

Frequently asked questions

If you're on the fence and need a little more convincing, shoot us a DM on Instagram.

Who can join?

Everyone is welcome. We cater to all levels, and you can swim as little or as much as you want on the day. You should be able to comfortably swim a few hundred metres in the pool.

How far do you swim?

A typical swim is across the bay and up to Wylie's Baths, 1 to 1.5km. It changes based on the conditions.

I'm a bit nervous about keeping up. What if I'm slow?

We have a range of paces and leave no one behind.

Where do you meet?

At the sandstone wall at the north end of Coogee Beach. Bottom of the steps. 10am, every Sunday. See the exact spot on the map.

What does it cost?

Nothing. No sign-up. No fee. First timers get a free swim cap.

What if the conditions are rough?

We make the call on the morning in the WhatsApp group. If Coogee is closed we find another spot, like Wylie's or Gordon's Bay. A swim is better than no swim.

What happens after the swim?

Coffee. Always. The swim is just pres for the post-swim coffee and chat.

Is there a safety briefing?

No. Water safety is each swimmer's own responsibility. We do not run a water safety briefing.
